Exploring: Fruits and Flowers of Aromatherapy

  • New York Institute of Aromatic Studies 530 East 13th Street New York, NY, 10009 United States (map)

Tuesday, July 24th | 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm EST

With Amy Anthony

Join Amy Anthony for this evening class in July to consider some of the fruits and flowers of aromatherapy; how many of the flower oils have an affinity for the skin and the heart (i.e., compassion) and how fruits, packed with nourishment and seeds, are often cleansing and purifying. July is an exceptional time to get out of the heat and sip on cooling rose water and relax in a learning environment filled with beautiful aromas!

Look forward to the following experiences during this 2 hour workshop:

  • A tisane experience where we smell, sip and discuss an infusion of flowers made at the beginning of class.

  • Reviewing key properties of fruits and flowers overall.

  • Learning about six select flower and fruit oils through guided olfactory meditations and discussing individual properties of those essential oils.

    • As a bonus, we’ll discuss photo-toxicity!

  • Creating your own aromatic spritzer with select hydrosols and your own blend of the essential oils covered in class!

After you leave the class, you will have built a deeper relationship with some of the aromatic flowers and fruits of aromatherapy so you may understand when it is a good time to call upon them to support you and loved ones.
