With Amy Anthony
Although lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) is called “the mother of oils” there are other species and plants worthy of acquainting yourself with and adding to your toolkit!
This class was created to elevate and take a deeper look at the Lavandula group; to explore the different lavender species (e.g., officinalis, latifolia, lavandin, stoechas) including the same species of Lavandula officinalis grown in a few different locations. We’ll also experience the essential oils of other plants known as “the lavenders” of their group (“lavender tea tree” and “lavender sage”) and briefly introduce “the chamomiles,” because they go so well with the lavenders.
Join Amy Anthony in getting to know the plants’ personalities by not only learning about each one's therapeutic benefits, but by also smelling their essential oils, seeing and feeling some of lavender plants and even tasting a few lavender infusions.
You will also have an opportunity at the end of class to:
- Create your own sachet using local lavender flowers and select essential oils to tuck into a drawer or use as a sleep pillow.
- Design a custom blend using the essential oils featured in the workshop to put into an all-heal-salve made just for the class!
