Frankincense and myrrh, part of the Burseraceae family, produce healing resins that have been used around the world for centuries. This plant family includes other therapeutic, but lesser known plants that are worthy of exploration.
Join us to explore the “torchwood” family: you will experience and learn about different the Frankincense species, Myrrh, Opoponax and many other plants tapped for their resins or oleo-resins.
Look forward to the following during this 3 hour workshop:
We will burn and warm select resins, touching upon the ancient practice of using incense.
Sip and enjoy frankincense infused water.
Participants will create their own blend of essential oils from the ones learned in class and create a healing salve to take home.
